Stripe and SSL: do I need to be incorporated?

I have set up Stripe, which works well with Heroku, and now I want to make it work for a domain that I just obtained. It seems Stripe requires SSL (which I understand to be https as opposed to http), and I purchased the one-year SSL from GoDaddy but am getting a message from them that I need to show them an Articles of Incorporation( which I don't have because I am not incorporated at the moment.) Is there a good way to go around this?

I haven't gone through this process for GoDaddy before as I use DNSimple. I don't remember having to do this though. If you haven't already paid, I highly recommend transferring over to DNSimple and using their process instead. I've used GoDaddy for hosting before (though not with SSL), and DNSimple just makes everything much less painful.

Thanks, Alex! I think I was using a wrong service from GoDaddy. I was able to switch to a basic version of SSL they offer and it is working well. I tried DNSimple as you recommended but it seems they allow transfer for domains at least 60 days old. I will switch to it at a later!

Ah I see - makes sense. Yeah, definitely give DNSimple a shot - even just being able to get rid of the many emails that GoDaddy sends to upsell you on their other services is worth the switch. Let me know if you have any other questions about this, and send me a link to your site - I'd love to check it out!

Sounds good, Alex. I should be ready with the site soon, so I will send it to you when I am done!
